OUR HISTORY
Thorncliffe Grange is set in the beautiful village of Emley, West Yorkshire, and has been farming and rearing some of the finest local cattle for almost 200 years.
The farm came into the Parker family in 1826, and today is a diary, beef, and arable farm with a dairy herd of 350 cows. The farm, now in its sixth generation of the Parker family, provides the majority of our meat. We take great pride and pleasure in watching our cattle graze across our rural lands around Emley.
Today the farm continues to be a family affair with the mum and son team, Ann Parker and Andrew Parker, leading the way for future generations.

Thorncliffe Farm Shop is owned and managed by Rosemary Parker (sister to Andrew, daughter of Ann). As a result of growing up farming, Rosemary was naturally passionate about the countryside, the success of rural communities, and of course, local and quality food. So the concept of Thorncliffe Farm Shop was born.
Rosemary opened the farm shop in 1999 to provide a shop that offered local, fresh ingredients and artisan products. In 2004, a new shop replaced the original pig sty. Then in 2014, Thorncliffe Tasting Room opened, giving customers the perfect opportunity to sample the farm shop's produce.
Today Thorncliffe Farm Shop and Tasting Room employs a local workforce of over 45 staff and holds accolades of 'Best Farm Shop' and many other awards for their own products, including our pork sausages, bacon, and homemade pies.
Thorncliffe continues to raise the bar in the industry of both the farm and the farm shop by endeavouring to produce the finest quality foods locally, many of which are created by their qualified and experienced in-house butcher and team of cooks.

Taste the Country. We took grand kids for a ride out and decided to call at Thorncliffe farm shop. They have an amazing butcher's .and fresh food home baked cakes pies etc. Most things are home made there or are Local produce. Love the place.
